The Government of Mexico’s Security Cabinet reports the results of the “Northern Border Operation” on May 12, 2025
With the Northern Border Operation, 31,674.63 kg of drugs have been seized, including 177.77 kilograms of fentanyl

Since the operation began on February 5, authorities have detained 3,252 individuals and seized 2,745 firearms, 441,432 rounds of various calibers, 13,551 magazines, 31,674.63 kg of drugs—including 177.77 kilograms of fentanyl—2,545 vehicles, and 419 properties.

All actions have been carried out strictly in accordance with the rule of law and with full respect for human rights. The following are some of the most notable seizures and arrests:
Baja California
Three individuals have been detained. Authorities confiscated 62 doses of methamphetamine and one vehicle.

Sinaloa
In Culiacán, authorities seized 12 magazines, one long gun, 371 cartridges, and seven vehicles, two of which were equipped with improvised armor.

In Cosalá, authorities located and dismantled two methamphetamine production sites. They seized 1,930 liters of chemical substances used to manufacture the drug. The estimated financial blow to criminal organizations is 41 million pesos.

Sonora
Three individuals have been detained. Authorities seized one million pesos in cash along with one vehicle.
In Cajeme, two individuals were arrested. Authorities seized nine long guns, six handguns, 23 kilograms of marijuana, 7.71 kilograms of methamphetamine, 3,026 rounds of various calibers, 71 magazines, tactical gear, two vehicles, eight surveillance cameras, and one motorcycle.
